Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at young age of fourteen. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling and BJJ before making her amateur debut at age 18 in WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd became more confident after the win and fought 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all during the first round. After that, she went to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Her next bout was a win against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16.
